Raúl Rocha Cantú, a Mexican businessman who has stood out as a recognized figure in the business world, has shone with a series of major achievements across various industries both nationally and internationally.
Graduating with a degree in Business Administration at just 19 years old, Raúl distinguished himself through his talent and boldness in management and negotiations, which led him to assume the role of CEO of the company CYMSA, positioning it as one of the leading companies in the industrial sector. After expanding this company’s presence into the most important markets inside and outside of Mexico, by the age of 21 Raúl was already recognized as one of the most important names in the Mexican industrial sector.
After achieving remarkable success in this industry, Raúl ventured into others, including the restaurant and entertainment industries, where he developed innovative and attractive business models that led him to create a group of 29 restaurants.
With a vision of continuous expansion and of building a self-sufficient and profitable business ecosystem, Raúl diversified into other industries that could complement his existing corporate operations. From this initiative, he established a company focused on the energy sector, including Soluciones Gasíferas del Sur. Additionally, he founded Century Aviation, a leading company in the private aviation industry.
Likewise, with the aim of creating a philanthropic platform to support Mexico’s most vulnerable groups, Raúl created the nonprofit organization Niños, Mujeres y Ancianos Protegidos (“Protected Children, Women, and the Elderly”). This foundation has provided economic, medical, and social assistance throughout the country. It has also collaborated with indigenous groups to promote inclusion, cultural development, and support in economically marginalized areas of Mexico.
To consolidate this vision under a heritage framework and ensure continuity through family legacy, Raúl Rocha Cantú founded Legacy Holding, with the purpose of centralizing the corporate operations of his various companies and creating an ecosystem in which they complement and strengthen each other. Today, this group is one of the most powerful and fastest-growing in Mexico, with around 10,000 employees nationwide, numerous first-class corporate offices, participation in more than 15 different industries, and a presence in five international markets.
In 2024, Raúl Rocha Cantú carried out one of the most important projects of his professional career and in the history of Legacy Holding by becoming the owner of Miss Universe, the most prestigious beauty pageant in the world. Today, Miss Universe is one of the world’s most-watched televised events, with participation from 95 countries and an audience of over 500 million viewers. After the pageant was held in El Salvador—generating an economic impact of $177 million USD—Raúl had the honor of announcing that the next Miss Universe 2024 will be hosted in Mexico, where it is expected to generate an even greater economic impact. In addition, Raúl’s vision for Miss Universe is to strengthen and grow the brand as one of the most recognized in commercial products, including beauty, fashion, cosmetics, entertainment, and more.
Thanks to his international presence, Raúl Rocha Cantú was appointed Consul of the Republic of Guatemala in Mexico, where he carries out various activities to strengthen the economic ties between these two brother nations and provide support to Guatemalan nationals living in Mexico. His business, diplomatic, and social trajectory has positioned Raúl as one of Mexico’s most recognized and respected businessmen. As a result, he was appointed board member and Vice President of Relations with Business Organizations of the Mexico City Chamber of Commerce—the oldest business chamber in the Americas—and advisor to the presidency of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), the country’s top private-sector body, which brings together 14 leading business organizations, over 2,000 associations, and represents around 80% of Mexico’s GDP.
